Nina has been building her Registered Massage Therapy practice since graduating Langara College in 2018. Throughout her career, she’s worked with clients aged 7 to 90, treating a variety of conditions including fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, thoracic-outlet syndrome and other nerve pain, concussions, acute sprains and strains, TMJD, surgical scars, and has provided pre- and post-natal care. She also has experience working with chronic stress, PTSD, anxiety, depression and autism. She goes the extra mile to make sure her clients feel comfortable, heard, and informed about the treatment they are receiving.

Using a combination of trigger point release, Swedish massage and myofascial release, her intention is to alleviate pain while also inducing a state of relaxation. Appling a gentle yet firm pressure, she is focussed and patient with each area, paying attention to how the body responds.

She takes a holistic approach to health care, and has a great understanding of how the body works and functions as a unit. She has weight-trained and done yoga for several years, and enjoys sharing this knowledge with her clients. She believes it is always possible to improve functionality and quality of life no matter the clients age or level of restriction.

Through her treatments, her long-term goal is to educate her clients on how their lifestyle or work is affecting their body, and how to manage pain and stress by developing a movement and self-care practice that is realistic, effective, and enjoyable.

Mika Liu is a passionate and dedicated third-generation practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), carrying forward the rich legacy of her grandfather and father. With over six years of experience honed in the vibrant city of Shanghai, Mika has recently made Vancouver, B.C., her new home, bringing her expertise and deep-rooted family wisdom to a new community.

Inspired by her family’s extensive knowledge of TCM, Mika is committed to healing and empowering her patients through holistic approaches. During my journey to becoming an RMT, I completed over 320 hours of hands-on clinical training. This experience has been instrumental in helping me develop a wide range of massage techniques, with a particular focus on areas like the lower back, neck, legs, and shoulders. My current practice emphasizes the therapeutic power of massage in promoting relaxation, relieving muscle tension, and supporting overall well-being—especially for those coping with stress or physical strain from everyday life.

In the clinic, I prioritize thorough assessments to gain a clear understanding of each client’s unique needs. From there, I create personalized treatment plans tailored to their goals and concerns. I often incorporate techniques such as Swedish and deep tissue massage to address a variety of issues, from chronic pain to stress-related muscle tightness.
